Solar thermal service includes :
A standard service would normally include the following where accessible:-
1. Visual Inspection of the tubes or flat plate collector.
2. Checking glycol (antifreeze) concentration.
3. Check Controller settings.
4. Set pump speed and flow rate.
5. Check Expansion Vessel pressure.
6. Check system pressure.
7. Operate pressure relief valves.
8. Provide service checklist and history analysis
9. Check for leaks.
If the glycol needed replacing because the system had overheated we would normally powerflush the system first.
If the glycol needed replacing due to age we would simply drain down the old and replace with new.
A service will include one tub of Tyfocor solar fluid.
Prices are: £175 plus 30p per mile
If any parts are required the customer will be given a quotation before any extra work is carried out.
If any extra fluid is required it will be charged at £45 per drum, this is an unknown until we arrive on site.
Photo voltaic service:
Solar systems are extremely reliable but like most technologies, they still need to be maintained to ensure maximum output efficiency.
Systems that are managed can be more efficient than those systems that are not being actively managed. Why? Because with a Test & Inspection package we are able to proactively identify when solar panel maintenance or solar panel repair is required, with regular visits we will ensure your system is performing well giving you the best return from your investment.
Our Test & Inspection packages offer our customers a cost effective and efficient way to keep their systems at optimal performance, whilst our accredited engineers are on standby should a fault occur. We will attend, rectify and replace any faulty parts to ensure minimum downtime and inconvenience.
Smaller systems mostly require little more than an annual documented condition inspection, a clean and alarm monitoring to spot & report back problems as they arise.
Test & Inspection package:
Annual documented condition inspection and thorough system maintenance.
Advise if annual panel clean is required.
Parts replacement service (time chargeable), parts free where under manufacturers guarantee.
Technical advice and support on your system from experienced PV engineers available throughout the year.
Costs:
Up to 4kw £100+VAT – per visit
Up to 10kw £180+VAT – per visit
Above 10kw – on request
The above prices are plus mileage at 30p per mile.
Heat Pump
Heat Pump Maintenance & Servicing
Although Heat Pumps can be known as a ‘fit-and-forget’ technology, maintenance and servicing can help it continue to perform at optimum level.
We offer maintenance and servicing packages for air and ground source heat pumps.
Air Source Heat Pump Service
A standard air source heat pump service includes:-
Visual inspection of the system
Removing pump casing to inspect and clear debris
Checking fans and clearing debris
Checking pipe work for leaks
Cleaning boiler buddy and filters
Check operation of inverter and of compressor
Check Antifreeze level and integrity

Ground Source Heat Pump Service
A standard ground source heat pump package includes:-
Visual inspection of the system
Removing pump casing to inspect and clear out debris
Checking pipework for leaks
Checking filters
Refresh and recharge ground loops – if required
Pressurise system to manufacturer’s guidelines
Antifreeze test
